&lt;p&gt;just wanted to ask a further question if the described pattern idea is still needed/necessary with jQuery&amp;#8217;s 1.4.2 introduction of the .delegate() function. Is this already an replacement/way around/pattern?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I saw you tweet about this. Since February a lot has been done and you can use awesome async control flow libraries like Do, Step or async.js.&lt;/p&gt;
